I think my head is going to explode...

Because I just saw.. what is quite probably the most messed up thing possible.......
Korn Unplugged
It is just... wow
totally fucked up and bizarre
cuz, like Alice In Chains and Nirvana... they were more pure music, a bunch of guys playing and singing together....
so going unplugged wasn't that hard for them, and they sounded damn good that way.
In fact I'm sure there are a lot of people that prefer them that way... I know the version of No Excuses off of AIC's unplugged album is one of my favorite songs of all time...
but Korn... Korn's not like that. They are processed, they are produced, they are.... dare I say... almost industrial
well industrial-ish anyway, especially on the last couple albums.
and well, industrial just doesn't do well unplugged.
Mainly because it's kind of hard to unplug a synthesizer and have it still do anything.
and thus they totally defeated the purpose of being "unplugged" by having 9 billion people on stage with them. Including like a full fucking string section and a bunch of those Japanese drum peopleup there!!
It was nice to see Amy Leeperform with them. In fact that was the only song that I thought worth listening to... Of course that may be due to the fact that I think she is quite possibly the hottest woman on the face of the planet, and her voice gives me goose bumps... but that's just a guess.

Blah!

That's kind of how I have felt for a while now. I don't know what is behind it, but by looking around on my links list over yonder it seems like there is a lot of it going around. Maybe it's the weather, or the fact that this month has gone by in a blink but I seem to be coming out of my funk. I've been digging around the internet a little bit more. Checking out links on other peoples pages... Stumbling Upon other links through pure luck, and just flat out not knowing how I find others. A couple of them have been added to the link list as it is, but a whole bunch more (mainly comics, cuz they're pretty) have not. I actually signed up for a Blogrolling account so that I can hopefully start organizing them, and make updating them a little bit easier. So far I have not tackled the process of putting their code into my page, mainly because Led has been having a pretty rough couple of weeks and I really don't want to be the person to push him over the edge. That being said, keep an eye on the right column as it may soon expand, or just flat out explode.

This weekend was a long and busy one... I worked Saturday instead of Friday like normal, so that a co-worker and her hubby could go get their freak on at the gay bar. It was the first time that DS and I had worked together in a long time and as it so happened it was his B-Day (Happy late one yo!!), it also happened to be the busiest Saturday in a long time so we made decent money on tips. DS also ended up getting a wonderful birthday present picked up at Annabelle's, I'll leave it to you to ask him what he got. If not I'm sure enough pleas in the comments will get it out of me or him.

Sunday was the Invitro, Diecast, and Sevendust show at the Ramkota. I had never heard of the two opening bands, but was told they were pretty good. Well, when Invitro came out with lab coats and tinfoil Luca Libre masks on.... I knew it was going to be a rockin' night. The whole show was really good the highlights would have to be, Invitro's masks, Diecast doing the hardest-fastest-most-kickass version of Higway To the Danger Zone EVAR!!11 and the giant mega pit that formed during Sevendust's two and a half hour set. Yes, they really did play that long. It was insane.

With Monday being a holiday I took the opportunity to hit Nutty's North and see quite a few of the band members get their drink on. Sara Manson was there and got a bunch of photo's with them, that she put up on her My Space page.

And on a parting note, this is for The Joe via Jay, one of the new bloggers I have been reading. She writes a lot.... Yes I really am only up to April of 05, and she's from Canada. Oh and her hubby is named Jason too!

Super Bowl!

Woooo!!!!

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of football, but Hey... It's the freaking Super Bowl!
The game was good even if there were enough turnovers to make it look like a Middle School game.
The Half Time show was alright, Prince and his giant shadow penis had to have had the producers running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

As for the commercials, I thought the best one was Rock Paper Scissors, but the K-fed one would have beaten it out hands down if I hadn't watched it online a couple days prior. But He Has Bud light was right up there too though.

And of course Careerbuilder.com had some great ones too. They are starting to give Anheuser Busch some competition. They better listen up or they might start losing their edge.

Steve went all out again, and had the back bar, a card table and a pool table absolutely covered in food. There was everything from Cheesy Popcorn to Oysters on the Half Shell. I think the crock pot's must have doubled the power bill for the month. I didn't get a chance to sample the Meat Balls I was supposed to since they went so fast, which I think should be an indication of the fact that they were fine, and you should stop fucking worrying about people likening them. The hot wings and Steve's Famous Chili were excellent as was the Fry bread :) now new and improved with Jalapeno's and Cheese! All in all it was a great spread and everyone should make sure to go tell Steve Thanks and that you had a blast.
